Passenger Restrained After Disruptive Behavior on Fiji Airways Flight

A female passenger aboard a Fiji Airways flight from San Francisco to Nadi was restrained and duct-taped by flight attendants after becoming intoxicated and launching a “racist and vulgar” tirade. Despite being moved to the back of the plane and restrained, the woman continued her abusive conduct throughout the flight. Upon landing in Nadi on January 20, she was arrested by local law enforcement and charged under Fiji’s Civil Aviation Act. The airline and authorities are investigating the incident, emphasizing their zero-tolerance policy for such behavior.
